greetings garden family & friends,
we can feel it in the air: AUTUMN, that is, and time to begin planning and planting the fall garden!

we have begun cleaning our garden beds, pulling up summer crops and adding more compost to our garden beds.

we will be planting collards, kale, lettuces, mustards and onions this month and more strawberries for a bountiful berry crop next spring.

one of the most beautiful and flavorful varieties of greens we love to plant is the RED GIANT MUSTARD. it is a crop easily sown directly in the garden beds and is ready to harvest in approximately 40 days.
for more information and tips on fall gardening, do join us on September 17, 2011 (11am – 1pm) for our fall planting planning party. learn all things garden for a bountiful autumn harvest.
and….. don’t forget to mark your calendar for the 3RD ANNUAL COLLARD GREEN COOK-OFF and WELLNESS EXPO!
October 15th, 12 pm – 5pm
See attached flyer. This event is free and open to everyone. We hope to see you there!
peace & gratitude
